Every father desires that his daughter finds a worthy life partner. That’s why sometimes fathers themselves decide to choose a husband for their daughter.
Arnon is a millionaire businessman from Thailand, with his own fruit empire specializing in cultivating a fruit called durian. His business is thriving; each durian fruit sells for sixty-two dollars.
As Arnon is getting older, he plans to retire soon and needs to find someone to pass his business to. With only one daughter, he has decided to find her a husband who can also be his successor. Along with the business, Arnon promises a substantial amount of money, around three hundred thousand dollars.
The requirements for the groom are simple: love his daughter and be a responsible manager.
By the way, Arnon’s daughter Karnsita, 26 years old, is very beautiful. She has a good education, knows several foreign languages, and helps her father in business.
Yet she hasn’t found a suitable husband. And it’s the businessman himself who intervenes. One day, Karnsita meets a young man. Everything seems perfect: he has experience working in a durian plantation, is intelligent, hardworking, and has fallen in love with Karnsita.
But Arnon rejects him as a potential son-in-law. The reason: he’s too handsome and might be unfaithful.
At one point, the businessman decides to organize a competition for his daughter’s hand in marriage. He offers to work for free on his plantation for three months. Whoever does the best job will become his son-in-law. But the idea had to be abandoned; Arnon received an overwhelming response: ten thousand applicants.
Nevertheless, the businessman remains undeterred and predicts that soon Karnsita will be in a wedding gown.
The girl herself supports her father’s intention. For her, the future husband needs just one thing: to love parties.
